The 68th annual WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary Street Fair will be held June 3 and 4 in Lebanon. The event will benefit the WellSpan Sechler Family Cancer Center.
The fair will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 3, and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 4. The fair is located on South Eighth Street, from Oak to Orange streets. The rain date is from noon to 8 p.m., Sunday, June 5.
Fair-goers can buy a raffle ticket for one of about 30 popular theme baskets, as well as browse among books and plants for sale. Live music, food, games, rides, arts and crafts and activities for the whole family will be offered.
The baskets are valued from $500 to $5,000 and include items such as a gas grill, outdoor furniture and a swingset. Raffle tickets for the baskets cost $1 for one, $5 for six, $10 for 15 and $20 for 35. Tickets go on sale May 31 in the hospital lobby. The baskets also will be on display in the hospital lobby that same day, and will remain there until Friday, June 3, when the fair begins.
The auxiliary has made a $150,000 pledge to the Sechler Family Cancer Center, which offers comprehensive, integrated cancer care to area residents. The center, which opened in January, offers chemotherapy, infusion therapy and radiation treatment. A pharmacy, laboratory and spiritual center all are located in the healing, calming environment of the 22,000-square-foot center, at 844 Tuck St.
Since the first Street Fair in 1949, the auxiliary has contributed more than $2.7 million to the hospital for specialized equipment, furnishings and renovations to enhance care and comfort of patients and their families at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital.
