Pain is an unpleasant physical sensation that lets us know when something is wrong. It can be throbbing, stabbing, burning, aching or pinching. Pain can be steady or intermittent, sharp or dull. In some cases, pain does not respond or worsens over time making more rigorous pain treatment necessary.
The Pain Management Clinic at The Good Samaritan Hospital evaluates, diagnoses and manages pain problems in an outpatient environment. Our services are available by physician referral only. Your physician will provide the clinic with a detailed description of your pain problem including your surgery records and test reports.
The Pain Management Clinic physicians will review the information to determine if you are a potential candidate for the program. Throughout the process our highly trained physicians and nurses work closely with your primary care physician to provide a diagnosis and recommend a specific treatment program for you.
