The Good Samaritan Health System has appointed Jason Trout as vice president for development. Trout will lead fundraising campaigns and events for the hospital and health system.
“We are delighted to welcome Jason Trout to the Good Samaritan team,” said Good Samaritan President and CEO Robert J. Longo. “Jason brings a wealth of experience in management and fundraising for healthcare organizations.”
For the past 20 years, Trout has served in a variety of senior management positions with the American Heart Association. Most recently, he served as a management consultant to regional executive directors. Previously, he served as the senior vice president for mid and small markets and as the senior vice president for development operations. Before joining the national operations, he served as the deputy executive vice president and as senior director for human resources. Over the course of his career, he has successfully lead efforts to substantially increase donations and volunteer recruitment.
“As we look to the future, we know that we must continue to add new capabilities to provide our county with excellent choices for healthcare,” Longo explained. “Our new wound care center and our national award-winning cardiac and vascular program are two wonderful examples of services that were made possible by the generous donations of our community. In an era of tight budgets, it has become more important than ever to secure funding for new services.”
